Time Change!

So, I'm not sure if everyone had to do this but where I live, (in Canada, B.C) we had to fall an hour back :o And yes for once my family and I actually remembered to do that, and didn't show up early for our appointment (which doesn't sound bad but yah it kinda was last time!) And tomorrow.....two contests end! Yup, ahh I'm so excited. Even if I don't win, though it would be nice, it was a cool experience. Since, I don't enter contests well ever it was kinda sweet!    I found this a humorous read meant for a reader that likes a fun, quick and easy book! The beginning for me was the funniest part. It did continued to have humor (especiall at this one "scene") but the first few chapters were hilarious! This book combines all the elements of family, friendships, relationships and identitiy 'issues' in a way that I believe worked well for the story line. For I book I pulled out randomly, I loved it! Franny, I found was a girl I could relate to....which kept me going throughout the book. Though I found it hard to believe that her parents were that 'wierd'. I also really enjoyed the ending. I can see why other reviewers would say there might be a second one! I give this four stars and highly recommend it! :D

   "You don't  happen to know how to do laundry, do you?

"You don't?" she asked.

"You seriously know how to do laundry?" Ecstatically, I filled my arms with as much dirty clothing as I could manage and stumbled to the laundry room, trailing shirts and underwear behind me like Gretel and her bread crumbs.

"Ok, this" ---Rhia gestured at me---"is a total problem."

"I know." I winced. "I just haven't figured everything out yet."

"Well, laundry is not that hard, Franny," Rhia said, dumping soap in and showing me how to work the dials. "But seriously, how are your dad and Zooey getting clean clothes? Like, someone has to be taking care of this stuff, right?"

First paragraph:

  "It's not like I'm complaining. Really. Because I guess my life could be a whole lot worse than it really is. So all I'm going to say is this: If I were to wander into an old dusty junk shop somewhere in Greenwich Village and uncover a beat-up brass lamp stuffed in a corner that the owner would sell to me with a knowing twinkle in his eye, and later I were somehow to run my hand across the surface of the lamp and this magical genie appeared in a poof of smoke...

Review of Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy by Ally Carter

     Ally Carter definatly did the job on this one! I thought I loved the first one but this one is way better! Lots of girl power in here and teenage 'issues' that girls in particular can relate to. It started off very strong, but at chapter 8 or so...that's where I was hooked. As soon as one of the boys started appearing in the story (always around Cammie) I enjoyed the book more. Because it started getting interesting as the story progressed. Cammie is so likable and Zach is one of those boys that appear often in movie scenes (which I didn't mind at all). There were even parts that made me laugh (which is pretty hard :D)But sadly when I got to the end I was disappointed....that the book had to end! I can't wait to read the next one! I LOVED this book soo much! I STRONGLY recommend this book to anyone who might be interested in a.) love story b.) spy's and c.) action. I give this book:

Book Blogger Hop, November 5-8, 2010!

Now for my third Blogger Hop question! Yay! Here it is:

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

My answer: Here's the answer for the first question. Honestly, I imagine I would feel horrible if I were to lose a follower but since it hasn't happened (yet) I don't feel very qualified to answer this. I do have 9 great followers and I read their blogs everyday, so I can confidently say, I would deeply miss having them! Their blogs are amazing and I feel like I've gotten to know their reading style and what they like through their blogs, I feel sort of connected (since I love reading as well, obviously), and I would be disappointed in myself for losing them. I know I shouldn't take it personally but I find that very hard. This was an honest answer and probably someone in the world thinks I'm doing this just because I want followers, but sadly their wrong, I love reading and I want to share my opinions! And by having followers it allows me to know that there are a handful of people who I can share those opinions with! I think it is a great opportunity...Thanks everyone :) As for the second question. I went to the library today, yup, to look for the two books. "Just One Wish" and "My Fair Godmother" both by Janette Rallison....yeah big surprise THEY DIDN"T HAVE IT! And the other book, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, it's still not in...so I picked up another one so I could ACTUALLY review something. So, as soon as I finish "My Ultimate Sister Disaster" by Jane Mendle I'll have a review posted. Here's the cover:
