BOOK BLOGGER HOP:

This week's question comes from Marce who blogs at Tea Time With Marce:

 

 "What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

My answer: Can I skip it? I, to my dismay, have not read a very popular or hyped book at all (isn't that sad...I blame my library) anyways I don't feel qualified to answer this. As for the second part of the question, I would be totally honest about how I felt when reading the book.

What do you do besides reading / reviewing as a hobby??

 

My answer: Wow, I have a lot of hobbies. I love baking, cooking, sketching, soccer, playing guitar/piano and lots more. I love hobbies, they keep me busy! Lol.

These sound really good. I have started with Lucky T (its shorter) and have got about half way through. It`s a nice read so far. We`ll see how it goes. I can`t wait to start the next one! Thanks for reading!

Books = Moves again

Since I do not have any books to review at this moment, I am now into seeing which movies are based on books! Other than the great Harry Potter or Narnia. Now I have mentioned Tangled and Ramona and Beezus. Now the one I want to talk about is Charlie St. Cloud. I haven't seen it but I hear it's based on the book: The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud by Ben Sherwood. It was published 6 years ago!
 
Has anyone read the book or seen the movie? Is the book better? The trailor almost made me tear up. As I mentioned before there is also coming to the theaters another Narnia (along with Harry Potter), I'm not sure if I want to see it. I was a big fan of the books for sure. I liked them. Anyways, I hope to have some books to review soon! Sorry, we haven't got in to town yet so I haven't been to the library. :( Well, thanks for reading, I really appreciate it!

Books = Movies!

Hey, so there have been many books that get turned in to movies. Now here is one that I personally want to see (besides Tangled) it was released in July...it's called Ramona and Beezus. Ever heard of it? It's based on the books from the Beverly Cleary's series...now I have never read them but this movie appealed to me. It seems to have adventure and a fairy tale sort of look... l am mostly interested because it has Selena Gomez in it! :) Lots of my friends don't like her but I do! She is a great actor and singer...anyways I hope, soon, like maybe by the end of this week, I'll get my hands on this movie. And just maybe Tangled as well! Did any of you see either of these movies? Are they any good? Thanks for reading!

P.S. Can anyone tell me how to show a youtube video in a post? So that the viewer can click play and see it, not just a link...I did it once but I forgot! Thanks so much!

Review for 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson

   I enjoyed reading this book. But I did have a few problems with it. First off, Ginny's character needed more thoughts. The books contains her actions mostly. Also there was barely any background information about her. But I did appeal to her character even if it wasn't much to work with. Second, the plot is brilliant but I wish it had been executed a bit better. Maybe more exciting instructions? I was expecting more wild and crazy dares so to speak. These were just two things I picked out, but don't shove this book away! It may have some flaws but by the end I was a little touched. There was a bit of humor and a few twists inside there. It was a nice read and I do recommend you look into it! I gave this book 3 stars!

Dear Ginger,

I have never been a great follower of rules. You know that. So it's going to seem a little odd that this letter is full of rules I've written and that I need you to follow.
"Rules to what?" you have to be asking yourself. You always did ask good questions.
  Remember how we used to play the "today I live in" game when you were little and used to come visit me in New York? (I think I liked "I live in Russia" best. We always played that one in winter. We'd go to see the Russian art collection at the Met, stomp through the snow in Central Park, then go to that little Russian restaurant in the Village that had those really good pickles and that weird hairless poodle who sat in the window and barked at cabs.)
   I'd like to play that game one more time—except now we're going to be a little more literal. Today's game is "I live in London." Notice that I have included $1,000 in cash in this envelope. This is for a passport, a one-way ticket from New York to London, and a backpack. (Keep a few bucks for a cab to the airport.)
   Upon booking the ticket, packing the backpack, and hugging everyone good-bye, I want you to go to New York City. Specifically, I want you to go to 4th Noodle, the Chinese restaurant under my old apartment. Something is waiting there for you. Go to the airport right from there.
   You will be gone for several weeks, and you will be traveling in foreign lands. These are the aforementioned rules that will guide your travels:
Rule #1: You may bring only what fits in your backpack. Don't try to fake it out with a purse or a carry-on. Rule #2: You may not bring guidebooks, phrase books, or any kind of foreign language aid. And no journals.
Rule #3: You cannot bring extra money or credit/debit cards, traveler's checks, etc. I'll take care of all that.
Rule #4: No electronic crutches. This means no laptop, no cell phone, no music, and no camera. You can't call home or communicate with people in the U.S. by Internet or telephone. Postcards and letters are acceptable and encouraged.

My answer: I can think of numerous book covers that I love but the one that is most prominent is for Matched. Isn't it beautiful?
